Felicia Flemming-McCall knew that she wanted to open a museum one day highlighting the contributions of African Americans. Felicia spent her summers as a teenager working at her family businesses, Flemming Funeral Homes, Inc and Unique Florist in Cheraw, Chesterfield and Pageland, South Carolina; where she had the opportunity to meet members of the community who left an impression on her.
The Heritage Center gallery has several exhibits that give a detail account of what life was like as an African American living in Chesterfield County, South Carolina in the 1800s and mid 1900s.
